The Minister
The Minister for Research, Science and Technology is the Hon Dr Wayne Mapp.
The Minister has responsibilities under the following Acts of Parliament:
- Building Research Levy Act 1969
- Carter Observatory Act 1938
- Foundation for Research, Science and Technology Act 1990
- Heavy Engineering Research Levy Act 1978
- Measurement Standards Act 1992
- Wheat Industry Research Levies Act 1989
Many of these responsibilities relate to the administration of boards and committees, the setting of levies and the monitoring of industry associations.
