Organisation
There are five groups within MoRST.
A General Manager leads each group, under the overall direction of the Chief Executive. Together, the group managers and the Chief Executive make up the senior management team.
While staff belong to one group they retain a lot of flexibility in the work they do. Much of MoRST’s work cuts across the functions of the different groups and project teams usually include people from two or more groups.
Provides leadership and direction to staff within MoRST and co-ordinates Ministry-wide projects as required.
Manages the Government's RS&T investments.
Aligns RS&T innovation policy to make sure it is integrated into the rest of the Government’s work on economic, environmental and social policy.
Integrates scientific and technical knowledge into government and community decision-making.
Ensures MoRST operates efficiently and at least risk.
