Data Matters

What was Data Matters?

On 15 July 2010, the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology, with the support of the National Library of New Zealand and the Royal Society of New Zealand, hosted an event called Data Matters: Making the Most of Publicly-Funded Research Data at Te Papa in Wellington. The main purpose of the event was to develop an understanding of the actions needed to transform the science sector’s approach to publicly-funded research data management. Over 100 people attended, including representatives from all New Zealand Crown Research Institutes and Universities, along with many government departments.
