Activities to strengthen urban research capability and coordination

• We held a future research workshop to determine areas of focus for future research, and ways of coordinating trans-disciplinary urban research
• The Foundation for Research, Science and Technology has refined the priorities within the Sustainable Cities and Settlements portfolio by consultation.

Auckland – a globally competitive city

One of Government’s objectives is to position Auckland as a globally competitive city.  Work in this TRST area is helping to coordinate policy work across several organisations to tackle the business, innovation and social challenges of the world’s largest Polynesian city.
